Guest Curator: Squishy Cute
We want to welcome Squishy Cute Designs to our curated collection team at Benzie -and our first mother and daughter team too! Kelli and Greta, are the creators behind, well, squishy and cute animal and doll patterns! One of my favorite collections is the Woodland Animals. Kelli put together a collection that works with the Raccoon, Barn Owl and the Fox -aren't these browns and rusts just beautiful?. I love that the patterns are so easy to put together -but constructed in such a way that makes them look like a more complicated dimensional animal -add in fun felt colors and thoughtfully placed embroidery and you have made yourself and little forest friend! Check out Squishy Cute's web site for their pattern shop, blog and tutorials ... and right now a giveaway for Benzie's felt, floss and patterns is going on through this Thursday October 30th -so go visit and enter! Squishy Cute's Felt and Floss collection is available in Benzie's shop.

Guest Curator: MmmCrafts
I know some of you may think it's too early to starting thinking about Christmas -but I love nothing more than creating something meaningful that will be used year after year. And these little beauties do not need to appear just at Christmas!
This is MmmCrafts first ornament in her 12 Days of Christmas series: Partridge & Pear. See what I mean about keeping them out all year long? Larissa's shop is full of beautiful patterns. I love her mix of bright and deep colors -it's signature to MmmCrafts.
These are the colors in her Benzie felt collection -the left side shows Swan, Moss, Fern, Mustard and Ochre. And the right side Burgundy, Carmine, Orange, Magenta and Cotton Candy. We also offer matching embroidery floss!
Get MmmCrafts Partridge & Pear pattern in the MmmCrafts shop and matching felt and floss in Benzie's shop.
MmmCraft's has visited Benzie before check out her first collection and her second (I'm making a set of needle books right now!). And get crafting!

Guest Curator: Kitschy Christmas by Wild Olive
This guest collection was planned just in time to deck your halls -and trim your tree! Mollie Johanson from Wild Olive introduces a pattern for nine different ornaments -in some retro pinks and greens.
Oh my! The poinsettia ornament -I think it's my favorite -but you'll have to check out the rest! All cute and smiley! The pdf pattern is super easy to understand and she has some helpful tips about embroidery on felt. This pattern is for sale in her shop and Kitschy Digitals. I love how it's easy to just do one ornament -or a few and so easy to take along on holiday trips!

This is Benzie's first guest curated collection that also has coordinating floss, I'm excited about how easy it is to get supplies and get crafting. Pick up your floss and felt at the same time!

Introducing Guest Curator: Gingermelon
I am thrilled to announce the first ever guest curator at Benzie! I first discovered Gingermelon while searching for doll patterns and fell in love with every one of the beautiful collections offered. Shelly is a true artist and a gifted crafter which is apparent in her creations. Her pixies and stufflings beg to be collected!
Shelly chose beautiful and soft colors that are reminiscent of her dolls and stuffed animals. The ten colors in her collection are Ivory, Oats, Blush, Cantaloupe, Latte, Fern, Lilac, Rainstorm, Blue Spruce and Zucchini.

These Pocket Pixie dolls shown below are my favorite. I can't wait to make them!
What a gorgeous collection! I encourage you to check out Shelly's blog and shop and let me know how you would use Gingermelons Color Collection. It's a tough choice!
